One of my favorite multi-platform releases for mobile and PC is none other than Kingdom. The combination of gorgeous visuals, simple yet challenging strategic gameplay, and the endless fun of kingdom building always makes it a fun game to return to. But where Kingdom sometimes falls short, Parabellum: Siege of Legends excels.
Available for purchase on iOS and Android. If you've played the aforementioned Kingdom, then you're probably familiar with most of what Parabellum has to offer. You play as the leader of a kingdom in a 2D side-scrolling universe while building your defenses and infrastructure, slowly recruiting troops, fighting off enemies and preparing for an all-out counterattack.
However, Parabellum builds on the foundation laid by Kingdom in new and very interesting ways. First, there's more emphasis on stories, quests, and actual strategy beyond the simple “don't let the monsters get to your back line” that defined Kingdom.

In Parabellum, you take on the role of several different characters from three different nations. Be it the Highlands, the Sultanate of Basse-Terre or the Icelands. You will create armies and go on quests and conquer these lands to fulfill the prophecy that one woman will unite them as queen.
One of my problems with Kingdom has always been that while it's a lot of fun, it can become very samey after a while. Parabellum seems to solve this problem with a much richer storyline, more varied buildings and units, while maintaining aspects such as heroes and their different abilities.
