- Palworld Mobile officially confirmed and alpha testing planned for the near future
- This was announced in Krafton's recent financial reports.
- A full-scale performance is scheduled for the G-Star show in South Korea this month.
Well, it's official, even if it came in a surprisingly low-key manner after it was first teased in previews for the show earlier this year. But Krafton has confirmed support for Palworld Mobile, and alpha testing is even planned for the end of this year! This was first announced in Krafton's recent financial reports. This is planned to be a true recreation of the PC experience.
Although this has been confirmed in the financial statements, it looks like we can expect a proper announcement during G-Star show in South Korea. It's strange to see it announced so early and so publicly rather than under a codename, but Palworld was anything but traditional back then.
For those who don't know, Palworld is a very familiar creature-collecting and combat RPG (some might say too familiar) Pokemon. What's different, however, is the addition of open world survival, crafting, and even weapons for your aforementioned buddies.
Everybody needs a friend
While Palworld hasn't retained the popularity that dominated the headlines as it initially did, I have no doubt that it will be popular on mobile devices. From the looks of things, Crafton seems intent on keeping the same wacky gun-wielding look, but with a slightly more cartoonish look (key word “slightly”).
Details are unclear at this point other than the upcoming alpha test, but there will likely be a lot of major announcements at the G-Star show, including Palworld. Hopefully we'll have some gameplay footage soon, and with alpha testing scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter of 2025, perhaps we'll soon get a first-hand look at how well it matches the original.
In the meantime, it might be worth digging into some of the other mobile survival-type release options, if only to make the inevitable comparisons when Palworld Mobile finally hits virtual storefronts.
