According to Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs and comments made by head coach Matt LaFleur at his pre-practice press conference, Jacobs re-injured his knee against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, the same game in which tight end Josh Wile suffered a concussion. On Tuesday, the Packers' first day of practice this week, Jacobs was placed on the team's list of non-participants. Green Bay had a practice Wednesday and is expected to have a modified practice Wednesday as the team tries to rest bodies as it prepares for a six-day road trip before playing the Chicago Bears on Saturday, LaFleur said.

Green Bay is blown up. LaFleur said all other injuries on the roster, with the exception of Micah Parsons' torn ACL, are essentially game-time decisions this week. We'll know a lot more about the Packers' outlook for the Bears game when they announce game statuses for those players on Thursday. There were no surprises among the non-participants, except perhaps Jacobs.
Packers Limited Liability Members
-
WR Savion Williams (ft)
-
DE Collin Oliver (hamstring)
New injuries to Chris Bux and Darian Kinnard. The Packers have five running backs available for practice, including practice squad tight end Pierre Strong Jr., but two did not participate in today's walk-through and another is estimated to be in limited supply. It's less than great. The only member of the 53-man roster to take the position full time on Wednesday was Emanuel Wilson.
Kinnard is expected to replace Zach Tom if Tom is unavailable this week, but he is currently suffering from a neck injury himself. The likely third player in the right tackle pecking order is Jordan Morgan, who spent most of this year at right guard before being replaced by second-round rookie Anthony Belton.

Players assessed as full participants on Tuesday included wide receiver Matthew Golden (wrist) and cornerback Brenton Cox Jr. (groin). Notably, Cox could be called up from injured reserve to compensate for injuries to Parsons and Lucas Van Ness. Van Ness played last week and has seen his production increase since Parsons' injury, but he did not participate in today's playthrough. The Packers have one more week to decide whether to bring Cox back or end the season with his 21-day training window open. It helps that Collin Oliver, who also has an open practice window, is still only a limited member of the team.
Bear Injury Report
Like the Packers, the Bears had a loss on Tuesday, so these injury lists are only estimates. Notably, receivers Luther Burden III (ankle) and Romeo Odunze (foot) did not participate. Odunze leads Chicago in receptions, targets, yards and touchdowns this year, while Bearden ranks third in receptions for the Bears among their receivers.

Another situation to keep an eye on is linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, who had an open practice window. Edmunds was assessed as a limited participant Tuesday. If the Bears bring back the two-time Pro Bowler, it would be a game-changer for this matchup.
