Orbit to Riches Has Launched Its Steam Page, Demo Lands Next Week

Orbit to Riches Now Wishlist

ThinKING Cat Games has officially announced Orbit to Riches, a new incremental space game, alongside the launch of its Steam page. The developer also confirmed that a free playable demo will be available on Steam next week, giving players an early look at the project.

Orbit to Riches focuses on mining dense rings of asteroids orbiting a planet. Players control a ship through these rings, destroying asteroids and collecting valuable resources. These materials are then used to upgrade ships, unlock new abilities, and improve overall mining efficiency. The core loop balances active play with long-term progression, making each session satisfying even after you step away from the game.

Each ship run lasts approximately 20 to 60 minutes, but progress is carried through the larger metasystem. While players directly control one ship, additional unlocked ships can be assigned to the role of idle mining operations. These ships continue to generate resources in the background, supporting gradual upgrades and deeper progress over time.

The idea for Orbit to Riches came about during a week-long prototype competition on itch.io. Among several experimental concepts, this project stood out as the most promising and aroused great interest. ThinKING Cat Games has since expanded it into a full Steam version with improved graphics, more ship options, and more layered progression mechanics.

Players who want to try out the game early can access a rough prototype version on itch.io. A more polished demo will be available for free on Steam next week, offering a clearer look at the game's direction and systems.
