“We're just going to tell the truth. You know, this ad isn't nasty. It's actually very truthful.”
Ontario is the heart of Canada's steel and auto industries and has been hit hard by the Trump administration's tariffs on both sectors. The province's unemployment rate rose to 7.9 per cent in September, up from about seven per cent a year earlier, and is even higher in some cities where auto plants are major employers, such as Windsor and Oshawa.
