OnePlus 15 wins ‘Best Battery’

Battery consumption is difficult to measure because we all use our smartphones differently. Some like to watch videos, others use it to surf the Internet, and some (like our devices editor Dean Daly) will play Marvel Snap for an hour while watching TV.

However, some phones are clearly superior to others. All four nominated phones have impressive battery specs; however, two stand out from the rest.

OnePlus 15 And iPhone 17 pro maxyou can't go wrong with either option. Dean and former creative director Brad Bennett reported fairly similar results; however, when Dean got his hands on the 17 Pro Max, he noted that it didn't have the same two-day battery life as Brad. This is probably due to his constant games of Marvel Snap.

That's not to say the battery barely lasted a day, but the OnePlus 15 almost always makes it to the second night, no matter how many games it has. Marvel Snaplisten to music, watch TikTok videos and much more. This makes sense considering the device uses the power-efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and packs a 7,300mAh battery, one of the largest on the Canadian market. OnePlus 15R also has the same battery size. The Canadian Smartphone Award for Best Battery goes to the OnePlus 15.
