There is somehow a 7300 mAh battery there.

Unfortunately, only chargers and cables compatible with Oppo's SuperVOOC system will be able to achieve these speeds. It's nice to see one in the box because spares will run you about $100. Even if you don't use the official OnePlus charger/cable, the standard USB-PD plug can still reach 36W, which is faster than phones like the Pixel 10 Pro and Galaxy S25 and about the same as the iPhone 17.

OnePlus has partnered with imaging company Hasselblad on its last few flagship phones, but that collaboration ended with the launch of the OnePlus 15. Now, the phone maker is going it alone, replacing Hasselblad's processing with a new imaging engine called DetailMax. The hardware is changing too.

The OnePlus 15 features completely new camera sensors despite the same megapixel count. There is a 50 MP main wide-angle camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera with an effective 3.5x zoom, and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with macro photography support. A 32MP selfie camera also peeks out through the OLED display.
Each of these sensors is physically smaller than last year's OnePlus cameras by a small margin. This means they can't collect as much light, but good processing can compensate for such minor physical changes. However, this is the problem.
Taking photos with the OnePlus 15 can be frustrating because the image processing is not as good as it is lacking. Colors, temperature, dynamic range and detail are not very consistent. Images of similar objects taken under the same conditions, even if they were taken one after the other, can have completely different results. Color balance also varies across the three rear sensors.

So, some of the photos taken with the OnePlus 15 are absolutely stunning. These are usually outdoor shots where there is a lot of light on the phone. In such cases, motion is captured well and photos are clear as long as the frame is not too cluttered. However, DetailMax tends to over-sharp, which erases fine detail and makes the image look the opposite of detailed. This is much more obvious in dim lighting, where longer shutter speeds are more likely to result in blurred objects.
