OneBC leader Dallas Brodie ‘removed’ leaving party’s future in flux

OneBC, the party formed after a split with the British Columbia Conservative Party, says leader Dallas Brodie has been “removed” by the party's board of directors.

The party's only other elected member sitting in the British Columbia Legislative Assembly, MLA Tara Armstrong, says she has lost confidence in Brodie's leadership and there is no longer any mention of Brodie on the party's website.

The Party X (formerly Twitter) account posted emails on Saturday evening alleging that “agents” at Brodie's direction were attempting to gain control of the party's assets and access the party's security systems and databases without authorization.

Documents on the party's letterhead state that special resolutions passed by the OneBC board called for Brodie's removal as leader, an internal investigation and an amendment to the party's constitution.

The documents include signatures from Armstrong, OneBC chief executive Paul Ratchford and Brodie's former chief of staff Tim Tillman, who Ratchford said no longer works for the party.

Brody says in a post on X that she's still holding an event in Langley, British Columbia today, calling herself the party's interim leader, but it's “not a party event,” and later Saturday posted a message saying the party is “going through a little turbulence.”
