It all starts in Pandemonium, a new dock that serves as your home between expeditions. Here you will take your ship, repair it and begin to build routes to new islands. The race to reach level 99 also returns, with an exclusive Sailing Skill Cape created by community member Gentle Tractor awaiting the first person to cross the finish line.
From there, you'll set a course for islands like the Great Shell, where the Restless Tortugans questline is located, and discover hidden locations with your trusty spyglass. Once you reach level 30, Barracuda's high-stakes tracks promise to test your skills and endurance. You'll always wonder if that shadow underwater was just a trick of the light or something worse.
The update also cleverly combines combat and crafting. Get ready to battle krakens, killer whales, frost dragons, and griffins while rescuing sunken ships, breaking open crates, and hunting for pirate treasure for your reward. You will also brew potions to strengthen your team. What I like most is that it all flows naturally into the world rather than feeling like a separate mini-game.
