Quarrel with a fan

Last week, Barrie Colts star cornerback Kashawn Aitcheson received a two-game suspension for an altercation with a fan following Saturday's shootout loss to Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Aitcheson, selected 17th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. was seen throwing a water bottle onto a fan when he came off the ice after a heated match.

During the game, the Colts raced to a 3–1 lead in favor of the host Greyhounds before losing to Marco Minosa's winner in a penalty shootout. The striker and his teammates then began taunting the visitors, with both sides almost coming to blows while officials did their best to keep them separated.

As Aitcheson and his teammates left the ice, a fan wearing a red jersey and backwards cap was seen yelling at the Colts players, causing the defenseman to douse the man with an open water bottle.

It was unclear what the man said to the players or whether anything was directed directly at Aitcheson.
