Officials Release Mitt Romney Relative’s Cause Of Death After Fall From Parking Garage

A medical examiner ruled Tuesday that Carrie Romney, the daughter-in-law of former Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney, committed suicide.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office said 64-year-old Carrie Romney: died from “blunt force trauma” and listed the manner of death as “suicide.” according to to people. Investigators found her body at the bottom of a parking lot in Valencia on Oct. 10 after she apparently jumped from a five-story concrete structure.

Carrie Romney was married to 81-year-old George Scott Romney, the older brother of her ex. Utah State Senator and former Governor of Massachusetts. The couple were embroiled in a bitter story. divorce months before her death, according to people familiar with the situation.
