- The Odyssey 3D G90XH monitor delivers glasses-free 6K viewing and real-time eye tracking technology.
- The monitor offers a native refresh rate of 165Hz and a dual mode of 330Hz.
- Its 1ms gray-to-gray response ensures fast action is clear and smooth.
Samsung introduced 32-inch Odyssey 3D G90XH, 6K monitor which provides 3D images without glasses.
According to SamsungThe display uses real-time eye tracking to adjust depth and perspective based on the viewer's position, creating a multi-layered image without the need for a headset or optical attachments.
This approach puts the Odyssey 3D among a small group of desktop displays that are experimenting with stereoscopic output rather than immersive accessories.
3D performance without glasses
Odyssey 3D runs at a native refresh rate of 165Hz, while Dual Mode allows the refresh rate to increase to 330Hz at lower resolutions.
The 1ms gray-to-gray response time allows the panel to be paired with high refresh rate displays typically associated with competitive gaming rather than static professional workloads.
To maintain visual stability during long sessions, the 6K monitor uses continuous eye tracking that adjusts depth alignment as the viewer moves.
Supported PC games include software enhancements designed to increase object separation, terrain depth, and spatial clarity over standard 2D rendering.
The Odyssey 3D G90XH's 6144 x 3456 resolution provides approximately 7050 diagonal pixels.
This provides a pixel density of around 220 pixels per inch, which is much higher than usual. 4K monitors and closer to high-resolution professional desktop displays.
However, the dependence on supported software to output the full 3D image limits the extent to which this feature can be applied to common workloads.
In addition to Odyssey 3D, Samsung announced several Odyssey G8 models that combine high resolution with variable refresh functionality.
The company is also expanding Odyssey. OLED G8 line with 32″ G80SH model using 4K QD-OLED panel.
This display is rated at a 240Hz refresh rate, 300 nits brightness, and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.
DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR20 support provides up to 80 Gbps throughput for HDR and variable update workflows.
The 32-inch Odyssey G8 G80HS is a 6K resolution display at 165Hz, with dual mode supporting up to 330Hz at a reduced 3K resolution.
Samsung also mentioned the 27-inch Odyssey G8 G80HF, which works as 5K monitorsupporting frequencies up to 180 Hz and up to 360 Hz at QHD resolution.
The company has confirmed that the Odyssey line supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-sync.
The Odyssey line includes features often associated with business monitors, although its core identity remains tied to Samsung's gaming-focused line of displays.
“With this year's Odyssey lineup, we are introducing display capabilities that were simply not possible even a year ago,” said Hong Li, executive vice president of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
“From the industry's first glasses-free 6K 3D monitor to revolutionary 1040Hz speed, we designed these monitors to meet the ambitions of modern gamers and deliver a level of immersion that fundamentally changes the way content looks and functions on screen.”
