Finland famously has 23 different words for snow, but I'd say English comes pretty close to describing COLD weather.
Many words describing the conditions of NOTSOHOT were missing from today's word searches, including hot, frosty, brisk, bitter, arctic and my favorite, which may not have come into common use outside the UK, potatoes, often combined with the phrase “it's potatoes, Sergeant”, an idiom that comes from Cockney rhyming slang for cold, or perhaps potatoes, no one knows.
