Get ready to see Taylor Swift breaks another streaming recordeveryone, because the implementation of two new projects is planned. Disney+ this Friday, December 12th.
In addition to Eras tour | Final showwhich documents the last ever Eras Tour show, held in Vancouver last year, also has Taylor Swift | Eras tour | End of an era look ahead.
What you need to know about Taylor Swift's latest Eras show and docuseries
It's safe to say that End of an era will not be a complete expose of anyone or anything. As you know if you've seen Swift Folklore documentary (FYI, it's also on Disney+), expensive documentaries by famous pop stars don't do this.
Instead, you can expect a rather glossy promotional video that will give you some insight into how the tour was put together and why everyone involved had the best time. There's nothing wrong with that either: it's a show for the fans, so why not please them?
However, I think Eras Tour | Final show will be much more interesting for most of us. The previous film – one of my favorite concert films – was filmed before the release of The Tortured Poets Department, Swift's latest record, and before his songs were added to the tour playlist. One of December new Disney+ movies features songs from said album, so it will be interesting to see how they are interpreted on stage.
As Swift wrote on Instagram, “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and fulfilling chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories weaved along it as it ended, as well as film the final show in its entirety.”
As already mentioned, Taylor Swift | Eras tour | Final show comes to one of the world's best streaming services December 12th at 12:00 pm PT / 3:00 pm ET / 8:00 am GMT. Episodes 1 and 2 End of an era will be released on the same day, with two more installments of two episodes arriving on December 19 and 26.
