At times like these I wish we didn't use the title Nicki Minaj had a great weekend. The rapper, who has been on a meteoric rise towards the alt-right over the last few years, was a celebrity guest at the Turning Point USA AmericaFest in Arizona on Sunday (December 21).
The conservative gathering was another move by Erica Kirk to memorialize her husband, the late Charlie Kirk, but turned into a rally of Republican talking points in general. Minaj walked out arm-in-arm with Erica as pyrotechnics exploded and “Super Bass” played in the background.
protector of her cousin's friend's eggs used her time on stage to show her support for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance: “This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud,” she said. [via The Associated Press]. “Our vice president, he makes me… well, I love them both. They both have this very strange ability to be someone you're close to.”
Minaj also made the mistake of calling Vance a “killer” for his politics, and Kirk started crying. Shortly after, the widow said, “If the Internet wants to cut it, who cares? I love this woman.”
Elsewhere in her speech, Minaj spoke about the persecution of Christians in Uganda, criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom and called conservatives “the cool kids.” What timeline are we living in?
