EXCLUSIVE: Actor and producer Nicholas J. Sims signed with Asteria Artists for management.
Sims will appear in the upcoming third season of the acclaimed Starz drama. P-Valleyseries created by Katori Hall. He will be represented at Asteria by managers Jessica Moresco and El Mani.
The Alabama native makes money from shows like Hulu Wu-Tang: An American Saga and CBS East New Yorkstarring Philip Lafayette Gibbs and executive producing the limited series. Blood on the bookswhich centers on the 1970 Jackson State University shootings.
We first time I told you about this projectwhich explores the tragic but little-known civil rights story that occurred in May after Sims and Desmond Jackson of BVC Films entered into a life rights agreement with the families of Phillip Gibbs and James Earl Green. The project also has full institutional support from Jackson State University.
“I’m thrilled to begin this next chapter with Jessica, Elle and the entire Asteria team,” Sims said. “They understand the kind of artist I am and the kind of stories I want to tell—grounded, fearless and full of heart. I want a career where I put every color of paint I can on canvas.”
Asteria Artists was founded in 2024 as a partnership between Maney and Moresco, formerly of Unified Management. The female-led collective has added former Unified agent Dana Maxwell to the team as a manager. Moresco is the daughter of Oscar-winning writer and producer Bobby Moresco.
Moresco helmed Unified alongside veteran casting director Al Onorato, who passed away last year. Many worked with the couple at Unified for ten years.
The company presents Joy Sunday (Wednesday), Devin Cecchetto (Wayward) and Nianda (Yellow Jackets). Sims joins that list as Asteria looks to expand its presence in film, television and theater.
