Welcome to Year 14 Week!
When Colts And Jaguars The game isn't usually the kind of game you circle on your calendar, but it was this week because first place in the AFC South was on the line. The game in Jacksonville was one of three that day, pitting the first and second place teams in the division against each other.
Here's a quick overview of these three games:
- AFC South: The Jaguars made a statement with a 36-19 victory over a suddenly reeling Colts team. At 9-4, it feels like the Jags are now in complete control of the division, especially after the Colts just lost. Daniel Jones due to a season-ending Achilles injury.
- AFK North: Just when you thought Mike Tomlin might be in the spotlight, he comes out and leads his team to their biggest win of the season. Tomlin Steelers took control of the division, destroying Baltimore Ravens in a 27-22 win.
- NFK North: Packers moved to the top of the division with a 28–21 win over the Bears in Green Bay. With the loss, the Bears dropped from first place in the NFC to seventh, just one spot ahead of the Lions, which could certainly add drama to the NFC North race down the stretch.
Sunday night also featured a big game as the Houston Texans traveled to Kansas City and routed the Chiefs 20-10. The Chiefs' playoff hopes aren't officially dead yet, but they're definitely on life support after the loss.
