Key events
Chiefs 6-14 Colts 1:50, 2nd quarter
Kansas City stops and forces Indy to ride the boat. Mahomes will take over at their 15-yard line. Big stop and they have plenty of time to potentially tie the game before the half.
TOUCHDOWN! Bears 14-14 Steelers 3:56, 2nd quarter
Chicago can relax a little after Caleb Williams finds rookie Colston Loveland for the tying 12-yard touchdown.
Pick six! Bengals 10-14 Patriots 7:42 2nd quarter
Joe Flacco hits an ugly pick-six to give the Pats the lead. This will make Drake May feel better about his sixth pick earlier in the game. The veteran QB lazily hangs it to the left, and Marcus Jones reads it like a book, jumping the route. Jones runs 33 yards and scores.
This is good! Chiefs 6-14 Colts 2:19 2nd quarter
Harrison Butker kicks a 48-yard field goal after the drive stalled. Kansas City could have stalled after giving up consistent scoring drives.
TOUCHDOWN! Lions 7-17 Giants 8:21, 2nd quarter
Jameis Winton is warming up as he scores his second touchdown with a 12-yard strike to Isaiah Hodgins.
TOUCHDOWN! Ravens 0-7 Jets 4:04, 2nd quarter
New York took the unexpected lead after Tyrod Taylor found John Metchie for a 13-yard score. The Jets defense has been playing blind so far.
Chiefs 3-14 Colts 6:00, 2nd quarter
KC are in midfield on another long road trip. They've already run 10 plays, converted on 4th down, and it's been going on for six minutes. Midfield! Come on, Andy Reid, let's open up the textbook a little.
TOUCHDOWN! Bengals 10-7 Patriots 9:36 2nd quarter
Drake May didn't have to wait long to throw a 28-yard return touchdown to Hunter Henry. The game has begun.
Bears 7-14 Steelers 12:06 2nd quarter
Pittsburgh has made another transfer! Derrick Harmon recovers the ball after D'Andre Swift fails to keep it under control on a run play. The Steelers will take over at center field.
TOUCHDOWN! Lions 7-10 Giants 11:41, 2nd quarter
Another classic combination increases Detroit's lead to just three points. Jared Goff gives way to Amon-Ra St. Brown, who fights his way through the Giants and into the end zone for a gain of 11 yards.
TOUCHDOWN! Titans 3-10 Seahawks 11:02 2nd quarter
Sam Darnold throws a bomb to Jackson Smith-Njigba for a 63-yard touchdown. These two could have a few more big games in this one.
TOUCHDOWN! Chiefs 3-14 Colts 10:31 2nd quarter
Alec Ogletree extends Indy's lead with a beautiful ballet move behind the end zone. Daniel Jones throws a shot and Ogletree just scores with his left foot, his back to the crowd. He couldn't see where his feet landed, but he instinctively kept his aim. Leaders need a response.
Pick six! Bengals – Patriots 10-0 14:19, 2nd quarter
Okay, we said the Bengals defense is doing well, but they are doing much better. Drake May is hit by Geno Stone, who returns the ball 33 yards for a touchdown. Amazing.
TOUCHDOWN! Bears 7-14 Steelers 14:34, 2nd quarter
TJ Watt makes a strip-sack touchdown and beats Caleb Williams in the Bears end zone. Williams drops the ball as he falls and Watt gets on top of him to give Pittsburgh the lead. This Steelers pass is firing on all cylinders, watch out Chicago!
This is good! Chiefs 3-7 Colts 14:51, 2nd quarter
The 28-yard kick is good, but Chiefs fans aren't happy when the whistles start blowing. Gene Sterator also inserted the knife into the commentary, noting that KC might reconsider the call against them to wear a mask, which he felt should have been rescinded. That offense faded thanks to good coverage, but was still a very positive 17-play stretch in which the Chiefs moved the ball on the ground with ease and pinpointed short passes.
TOUCHDOWN! Bears 7-7 Steelers 0:30, 1st quarter
DK Metcalf receives a short pass to the left and races home for a six-yard score. Chicago level.
Chiefs 0-7 Colts 0:11, 1st quarter
Travis Kelce scores a touchdown after an offensive face mask penalty. It's a killer penalty that moves the Chiefs back 15 yards to the 20-yard line. Oh.
Chiefs 0-7 Colts 1:00, 1st quarter
The Chiefs gained a nice 10-yard chunk with Worthy's pass, then handed it to Hunt, who moved the stick again. Chiefs – first and goal.
Bengals – Patriots 3-0 5:28, 1st quarter
New England is surprisingly struggling against a historically inept Bengals defense. Currently two trips and two boats for the Pats.
Chiefs 0-7 Colts 3:14, 1st quarter
KC is relying on the running game to take some pressure off Mahomes. Kareem Hunt drives them through center field, but they stall on 3rd and 1. Hunt gets the ball again and moves the chains. The Chiefs had about 30 yards left. Methodical attitude, trying to avoid staff turnover.
Bears 7-0 Steelers 5:11, 1st quarter
Pittsburgh crossed midfield on a sweet 21-yard throw into the far right field corner from Mason Rudolph to Ben Skowronek.
Chiefs 0-7 Colts 8:06 1st quarter
Mahomes takes over on offense again. Will will want to leave behind this shocking player with a lot of momentum. His first shot matched the first from 11 yards to Xavier Worthy. There's still about 60 yards to go to level it out.
TOUCHDOWN! Chiefs 0-7 Colts 8:11, 1st quarter
The interception was converted by Michael Pittman after he caught Daniel Jones from six yards out. What a start for Indy.
TOUCHDOWN! Bears 7-0 Steelers 8:28 1st quarter
Caleb Williams throws the ball right to DJ Moore, who completes it from five yards out to get the Bears moving.
TOUCHDOWN! Packers 7-0 Vikings 9:15, 1st quarter
Backup running back Emmanuel Wilson starts his day off by running one yard forward for a score.
CHOOSE! Chiefs 0-0 Colts 8:54, 1st quarter
A nightmare start for Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes tries to throw a pass to his own goal line, but the ball bounces in the air and is caught by Colts cornerback Laiatu Latu. Incredible game.
TOUCHDOWN! Lions 0-7 Giants 12:56, 1st quarter
Can you believe it?! The first landing of the day may be the best. The Giants gain momentum on 3rd and 2 when Jameis Winston returns the ball after a pass, confusing the Lions, who all rush the runner, leaving Wan'Dale Robinson wide open in the end zone. He makes an easy 39-yard touchdown catch.
I love the photo of Andy Reid and Shane Steichen chatting while watching Patrick Mahomes warm up. Anyone up for a little “Have I Got News for You” caption contest? Write to me at your best Paul Merton.

Hello soccer family! welcome to week 12! The season is really coming together now as we start to go through the last few corners towards the finish line. Indeed, that's all there is to play for, as no team has yet to be eliminated from playoff contention. Then these 1-9 Tennessee Titans better crack. -
(7-3) Chicago Bears v Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4)
-
(3-7) Cincinnati Bengals – New England Patriots (9-2)
-
(6-4) Detroit Lions v New York Giants (2-9)
-
(6-3-1) Green Bay Packers v Minnesota Vikings (4-6)

(5-5) Kansas City Chiefs v Indianapolis Colts (8-2)
-
(1-9) Tennessee Titans v Seattle Seahawks (7-3)
Visit from the playoffs Indianapolis Colts are one of the last teams Patrick Mahomes and company would like to come to town, but if you want to be the best, you need to beat the best. How the Chiefs respond to last week's blowout loss to Denver will be intriguing, as will the level of play from Indy quarterback Daniel Jones. If KC can catch Jones, then the losses could turn into a sweet win that ends a two-game losing streak. If the Colts do suffer a narrow loss, it will be the first time Mahomes has lost three straight regular-season games. How the mighty of this world fell… perhaps.
Elsewhere Pittsburgh Steelers fans can watch as Mason Rudolph leads the charge against the rising tide Chicago Bears. Starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers is out with a broken wrist. With the Baltimore Ravens likely to make short work of the New York Jets, we could have a new AFC North leader tonight.
Green Bay there will also be no big-name talent as running back Josh Jacobs isn't ready to go against Minnesota. Emmanuel Wilson will be the receiver at Lambeau Field today as the Packers look to keep pace with Chicago in the cutthroat NFC North.
Let's go!
