NFL news: Jets’ Khalen Saunders rips officials for ejection

New York Jets defensive lineman Khalen Saunders tore into NFL officials on Sunday after he was ejected from a game. Jacksonville Jaguars game for contacting an official.

The incident occurred in the third quarter of the Jaguars' 48-20 loss. Saunders and other players got into a fight after the Jaguars attempted an extra point after Travis Etienne landing.

Saunders contacted an officer who tried to break up the fight. He was kicked out of the game.

On social media, Saunders was upset about the decision.

“7 years, not a single ejection, not a single unsportsmanlike conduct, I think maybe one Unnecessary roughness for a tackle right on the whistle in a pre-season game,” he wrote on X.

Saunders joined the Jets on November 17 after being released by the Jaguars. Sunday's game was his fourth with Gang Green. He had one tackle against Jacksonville.

Entering the game, he had made six tackles in five games this season. He played two seasons with the New Orleans Saints before joining the Jaguars earlier this year. He also played for Kansas City Chiefs.

Saunders won two Super Bowl titles while with the Chiefs.
