The 2025 NFL season has already seen its fair share of injuries in the first 10 weeks. But the injured reserve could increase after the Week 11 games.
Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Atlanta Falcons defensive end Michael Penix Jr. left their games against their respective opponents on Sunday. Rodgers left the Steelers' game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Penix left the Falcons' game against the Carolina Panthers.

Panthers cornerback Bryce Young played through an ankle injury, and at one point he was seen wincing in pain due to the issue. Meanwhile, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love also had to leave the game due to a shoulder injury.
They weren't the only quarterbacks in some pain.
Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers left the game with a left hand injury. He was seen holding his wrist after being tackled by a pair of Bengals defenders. His return was in doubt, but he never returned. Instead, Mason Rudolph entered the game, and Pittsburgh overpowered Joe Flacco for a 34–12 victory.
Rodgers was 9 of 15 passing for 116 yards and a touchdown pass.
Michael Penix Jr.

Michael Penix Jr. left the Falcons game in the third quarter. He was diagnosed with a knee injury and was listed as questionable. He did not return as the game went into overtime. Instead it was Kirk Cousins which was again in downtown Atlanta.
He was 13 of 16 for 175 yards passing.
Cousins ​​helped the Falcons force overtime. However, Atlanta lost 30–27.

Jordan Love

Packers quarterback Jordan Love was briefly interrupted in the team's 27-20 victory over the New York Giants with a left shoulder injury. He later returned to help Green Bay win with a pair of clutch catches. While on the bench, Malik Willis scored a touchdown.
Love was 13 of 24 while passing for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
Marcus Mariota

The Washington Commanders needed to send Marcus Mariota to the sideline to be checked late in the game against the Miami Dolphins.
He was diagnosed with a concussion and was able to return to the game. When he returned, he carried the ball into the red zone in hopes of tying up the Commanders' score. But to no avail.
The Commanders lost to the Dolphins 16-13 in overtime. This was the first regular season game played in Madrid. Mariota was 20 of 30 passing for 213 yards, a touchdown pass and an interception.
Backup is already starting

While fans saw several more quarterbacks sidelined, there were already plenty of backups starting in Week 11.
Mariota was one of them because Jayden Daniels suffered a serious injury a couple of weeks ago. Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco started against the Rogers and Steelers as he became the third quarterback the team played this season. Joe Burrow is out due to turf.

Davis Mills returned to the starting lineup for the Houston Texans in place of C.J. Stroud. He helped the Texans get back to .500 with a 16–13 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Jameis Winston started for the Giants against the Packers in place of the injured Jackson Dart.
The Cardinals started Jacoby Brissett again in place of Kyler Murray. Dillon Gabriel started for the Cleveland Browns. While he's not technically a backup quarterback, he started the season at QB2 before the team traded Flacco to the Bengals.
