Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Daniel Jones left Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after suffering a gruesome calf injury when he fell backwards to throw a pass.
Jones, who was I'm already playing with the broken one left fibula, fell to the ground and grabbed his right Achilles. When trainers came out to check on him, Jones slammed his helmet in frustration. He was able to carefully walk to the locker room under his own power.

He was sidelined for the rest of the game with an Achilles injury, the team said.
Colts cornerback Riley Leonard entered the game.
The Colts were in contention for the AFC South Division as Jones was putting together an MVP-like season to take the team there. Both teams finished first in the division and Sunday's game was important in the playoff race.

Jones had 3,041 passing yards and 19 touchdown passes with Indianapolis, going 8–4 on the season. The injury ends Jones' pursuit of MVP and Comeback Player of the Year honors.
He joined the Colts as a free agent after finishing the 2024 season with the Minnesota Vikings. The New York Giants released him mid-year, opting to embark on a new journey with a new quarterback.
