The Association of NFL players called for all areas to be grass, but many stadiums are in no hurry to act.
Nevertheless, the legendary receiver of NFL Larry Fitzgerald, who never played less than 13 games in the season and played in each game of 13 of 17 campaigns, does not feel that the implementation of grass in all 30 stadiums of the NFL is even possible.
“I don't think this is possible in most places. I mean that the Metlife stadium is probably used 100 days a year, and only 20 of them are intended for football games. You accept Bruce Springstin's concerts, Monster Truck rallies. I just don’t think that the grass will succeed in this environment, ”Fitzgerald said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital.

Fitzgerald also noted that sometimes the nature of football leads to injuries, regardless of the surface, said a long -standing wide receiver.
“I was in the game 49ers-Cardinals, and I saw James Conner broke his ankle on the grass. I saw how Nick Bos hit his acl on the grass. When you have 300 pound people at full speed, these are strong, physical guys. If they played in a bubble wrapper, the guys will suffer. ”
Hill's injury occurred on the grass, but it is easy to say that the nature of the tackle led to its injury. Bosa also broke his ACL at the Metlife stadium.
It should be noted that Fitzgerald played his home games at the State Farm stadium with Arizona Cardinals, which has retractable grass. And yet it was here that Benson was injured, which required the operation.
