Dave Chappelle gives stand-up fans a holiday gift with the surprise release of a new Netflix special episode entitled “Unstoppable”.
Before the main event on December 18th. Jake Paul On the night of his fight against Anthony, Joshua Chappelle stopped by the livestream with a short clip to announce the news.
“I wanted to highlight my hometown of Washington, D.C. and thank everyone who came out in October to support me on this show,” Chappelle said in the video. “I just want you to know that this show will be streaming on Netflix tonight after the fight. My new specials and I hope you enjoy them. Thank you so much.”
Chappelle has a long-standing professional relationship with Netflix. This upcoming program will be his eighth special with the streamer, following “The Age of Spin,” “Deep in the Heart of Texas,” “Equanimity,” “Bird's Revelation,” “Sticks and Stones,” “Closer” and “Dreamer.” Netflix also released a recording of the comedian's speech given at his alma mater, Duke Ellington High School of the Arts, titled “What's in a Name?”
Paul vs. Joshua brought Netflix and other big names to the ring in Miami, including Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria, director Benny Safdie, comedians Bert Kreischer and Matt Rife, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, singer Shaggy and many others. In addition to the main event, previous matches included Alicia Baumgardner defeating Leila Beaudoin, Anderson Silva defeating Tyron Woodley and Jamal Harvey defeating Kevin Cervantes.
As for the fight itself? Joshua won by knockout, and Paul lasted six rounds.
