Korean gaming giant NCsoft has made a majority investment in Singapore-based mobile publisher Indygo Group.
PocketGamer.biz reports this. The transaction value is $103.8 million, representing 67% of the company's shares. As part of the deal, NCsoft will also acquire Vietnamese casual game maker Lihuhu, which is 100% owned by Indygo Group.
The Korean giant is also buying casual mobile games studio Springcomes, although the deal is not well-regarded. NCsoft says the developer is forecasting 28 billion won ($18.9 million) for 2025, double last year.
The company is also in talks to acquire some European studios.
It's all part of NCsoft's pivot into the casual mobile gaming genre. The company launched its Mobile Casual Center in August 2025, led by Tripledot and Outfit7 veteran Anel Semaine. The Korean firm has also hired user acquisition and data specialist Anthony Pascal, who previously worked at companies such as Miniclip.
“With the acquisition of Lihuhu, we have achieved a growth point in the global mobile casual gaming market,” said NCsoft co-CEO Park Byung-moo.
“We expect Lihuhu to become a hub for casual game development in the Asian region.
“We are in talks with European studios about further mergers and acquisitions. Along with mergers and acquisitions, we are also looking for business collaborations with several global game studios to expand our casual gaming business.”
In a post on LinkedInSeman added: “Mobile casual games are growing in popularity in Vietnam: strong talent, faster iteration cycles, and teams that know how to deliver and scale.
“This acquisition marks just the beginning of the expansion of NC's mobile industry.
“We attach great importance to construction in the region and look forward to what will happen next.
“2026 will be an interesting year for hybrid and everyday models.”
NCsoft also bought a perpetual license for the codebase software from a European firm specializing in analytics and live operations. To ensure that the platform has the necessary technical strength, the Korean firm has bought an unnamed Slovenian mobile casual games studio.
