“Oh, I also forgot to include “thoughts and prayers.” LMAO,” another post read.

The NBA told OutKick on Oct. 6 that it was “looking into” the matter but did not provide an update until it announced the suspension on Wednesday, following multiple requests for comment from Fox News Digital and OutKick.

It is unclear when the suspension was decided or what policies were violated. The NBA did not respond to an email from Fox News Digital with those details.

Kirk, who would have turned 32 on Tuesday, was killed at Utah Valley University during a debate with college students. He was shot when asked about gun violence.

President Donald Trump awarded Kirk the posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tuesday in a ceremony attended by Kirk's widow, Erica.
