MTG Snaps at MAGA as They Turn Against Her Over Her Resignation

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is tired of hearing her former MAGA allies complain about her early retirement.

The Georgia lawmaker shocked her constituents as much as the American public last week when she announced she would leave office early, ending a tumultuous tenure in Congress by Jan. 5.

The news comes on the heels of a bitter battle between Greene and her political idol Donald Trump over the release of the Epstein files. Greene fought fiercely for the release of the documents and ultimately split with the president while trying to persuade Republican lawmakers to vote against the initiative.

Greene may be washing his hands of the conservative ecosphere completely. Responding Wednesday to criticism from her former allies over her decision to leave early rather than at least complete her current term, Greene asked on X, if she hadn’t “suffered enough” while they “fasted behind a screen all day.”

“Should I stay until I'm killed like our friend Charlie Kirk? Then will that be enough for you?” Green wrote. “Posting crap on the Internet all day is not a fight.

“Get off your butt and run for Congress,” she continued. “I fought harder than anyone in the real arena, not on social media. Put your little stones in and put your money where your mouth is.”

But right-wing influencers were not moved.

“This is pathetic” replied Nick Fuentes, a known white supremacist and Hitler admirer.

Greene, who won her district in 2020 without the president's support, publicly broken with Trump several times since his inauguration in January. She disagreed with her “beloved president” on issues ranging from artificial intelligence to government shutdowns, was one of the few Republicans to call Israel’s actions in Palestine “genocide,” and clashed with the White House over its approach to the Russia-Ukraine war.
