MAGA spokesperson Marjorie Taylor Greene called the full disclosure of Epstein's files “the simplest thing in the world” while accusing President Trump of “gaslighting” the American people.
The President continues to deny everything and unsuccessfully pressure other Republicans not to sign the House petition to remove him. Greene sees Trump's attempts to block Epstein's files and delegitimize his victims as a distraction from key issues such as access and affordability of health care.
“I want my party to do something, win and do something good for the American people. I'm not going against it, I'm pushing my party to say: this is what we need to do,” Greene said Politician. “Publishing the Epstein files is the easiest thing in the world… Just release it all, let the American people sort it all out and, you know, support the victims. It's like the most common sense, easiest thing in the world. But spending any effort trying to stop it, it just doesn't make sense to me.”
In another interview on Thursday night, she even accused the president of “…gaslightingAmericans about rising prices.
“President Trump and his administration [do] deserve a lot of credit for reducing inflation and maintaining it at a stable level, but this does not lead to lower prices. And so scaring people and trying to tell them that prices have fallen doesn't help,” she said on The Sean Spicer Show.
MAGA's most hardline spokesman is now at odds with Trump over the release of the Epstein files, health care access and inflation, and foreign policy. Only time will tell if her heel turn stays true.
“I'm just speaking for myself, I'm pro-America first. I'm 100 percent for my country, not another country,” Greene continuation. “This is what a lot of people thought they were voting for in 2024… This is the failure of our Republican majority in the House and Republican majority in the Senate if we don't pass legislation and make it happen… I don't see how we're going to win the midterm elections on the course we've taken so far.”
