Motorola Introduces a new Moto G Power for 2026

Motorola has unveiled the latest version of its budget device, the Moto G Power.

The new Moto G Power (2026) running Android 16 is powered by a MediaTek 6300 processor and a 2.4GHz octa-core processor for 5G. The device also has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Users can expand the memory up to 24GB using RAM Boost, which uses the device's internal memory as virtual memory. In terms of storage, the device also comes with 128GB of internal storage, but this can be expanded up to 1TB by using a microSD card. A Dual SIM version with a slot for nano-SIM and eSIM is also available.

The new Moto G Power will have a 6.8-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness mode of up to 1000 nits. Apart from Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, the Moto G Power 5G also features a 3.5mm headphone jack (BIGEST win in my books) and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Moto G Power features a 5,200mAh battery with 30W TurboPower technology that delivers up to 49 hours of battery life on a single charge, which Motorola says “provides hours of use in just minutes.”

The device features three rear cameras: a 50MP primary rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle secondary rear camera with Macro Vision, and a tertiary rear camera with an ambient light sensor. There's also a 32MP front-facing camera, which, like the main rear camera, features what Motorola calls Quad-Pixel technology. Motorola has also added new AI features to its cameras, including AI-powered portrait mode, night vision mode, and Google Photos, which support a wide range of AI features such as Magic Eraser.

There are three video capture modes available, with FHD supported throughout. However, the rear main camera is the only one that supports up to 60fps.

The new Moto G Power is available in two colors: Evening Blue and Pure Cashmere.

The new Moto G Power will be available to Canadians at Motorola.cawith a suggested retail price of $449.99. It will be available on January 8th.
