As Israel continues to violate the Gaza ceasefire, effectively committing genocide in the face of ongoing disasters and reconstruction efforts, Montreal artists have formed a new collective and announced a benefit concert for Palestine.
The date is scheduled for December 2 at Club Soda In Montreal, the show will feature Canadian and Montreal musicians, speakers, artists and cultural figures who form a collective called Uni es pour la Palestine (United for Palestine), including Bibi Club, Good baby, Wild things, CorridorElissa Kalal, I B, Safety, Magus Merlin, Miriam Gendron, Nada El Shazly and Emna Maaref, Nathalie Dummar, Pomm, Radwan Ghazi Mumne, Safiya Nolin and Zaydibaby.
“Horrified by the images we see in Palestine, the inaction of our governments and the lack of adequate media coverage, we decided to come together to make a simple but unifying gesture: create a charity show to raise funds to help the Palestinians,” Bibi Club and Magi Marlin shared in an Instagram post.
All proceeds will be donated directly project Samir And Ghassan Abu Sitta Children's Foundationtwo organizations that support children and refugees in Palestine.
