Mathieu Barsalou threw four touchdowns as the Montreal Carabins defeated the St. Mary's Huskies 49-19 on Saturday in the Utec Bowl.

Montreal will face the Saskatchewan Huskies in the Vanier Cup, the U Sports national title game in soccer. Saskatchewan defeated the Queen's University Gaels 22–11 to win the Mitchell Bowl hours after Montreal's victory.

Carabines quarterback Pepe Gonzalez was 18-of-26 passing for 168 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Enrique Jaimes Leclerc was the victim of a Gonzalez touchdown while Gregory Mulenda-St-Pierre scored another rushing touchdown for the RSEQ champions.

The Carbines jumped out to a 22-2 lead at halftime and then continued to dominate the second half.

Their eight points in the first frame were the only quarter in which Montreal scored fewer than 13 points.
