Monday’s Sports Equinox: Your guide to all four major leagues (and more!) in action

Some days on the sports calendar are worth circling. They come once a year: Super Bowl Sunday; First Thursday of March Madness. Choose. But did you know that Monday is such a day in the sports calendar?

That's right. October 27, 2025 will be the day of the “sports equinox.”

The premise is simple. Due to differences in professional sports schedules (the NFL only plays in the fall and winter, the NBA season doesn't start until mid-fall, etc.) there is a very small window of the year when all four of America's major men's professional sports leagues play on the same night. This year Monday is the window.

And for those looking for even more sports content, fear not—there's a lot more than just NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL action on Monday. Is football more speed for you? There are many options, from the college game at 1:00 pm ET to the MLS playoffs later in the night. WWE is also under consideration.
