Tonight's Monday Night Football game will feature two NFC playoff contenders. The 49ers are 7-4 but are likely hoping for a Wild Card berth at best because they are in third place in the competitive NFC West behind the 9-2 Rams and 8-3 Seahawks. The Panthers are 6-5, good enough to put them in a tie for first place in the NFC South with the faltering Buccaneers. A win for the Panthers today would give them sole possession of first place in the division.
