MLB free agency tracker: Latest deals as Kyle Schwarber goes back to Phillies

The 2025-26 MLB offseason is here and the hot stove is starting to heat up. After a slow first day of the Winter Meetings, Kyle Schwarber got things started on Tuesday by agreeing to a five-year, $150 million contract to return to the Phillies. Meanwhile, Edwin Diaz joins the World Series champion Dodgers.

Earlier this winter, right-hander Dylan Keyes signed a seven-year, $210 million contract with the Blue Jays on Thanksgiving Eve. The deal ranks fourth-largest among active pitchers and is a big boost for the defending AL champions.

Not yet Aaron Judge or Juan Soto There is still plenty of talent on the market this winter. Kyle TuckerThe four-time All-Star, who turns 29 in January, tops the list, and while his other half leaves a lot to be desired, he could be a huge asset to any team. Alex Bregman remained on the market until late last winter but showed no ill effects, posting an OPS+ of 128. On the pitching side, Framber Valdez and Ranger Suarez can step into the front line in almost any rotation.

Josh Naylor became the first notable forward to re-sign this offseason, returning to Seattle as part of the team's first major free agent deal of the winter. He extends his contract with the Mariners for five-year deal worth $92.5 million. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays brought the American League pennant Dylan Keys north of the border on a massive seven-year, $210 million contractwhile the Mets signed closer Devin Williams is coming off a disappointing 2025 season with the cross-town Yankees.

A record four players—Brandon Woodruff (Brewers), Shota Imanaga (Cubs), Gleyber Torres (Tigers) and Trent Grisham (Yankees)—accepted qualifying offers and are returning to their teams in 2026.
