Victims of human trafficking were found, including a victim under the age of 18, and the man was advertising sexual services online. Police alleged that the man took proceeds from trafficking victims and in one case forced the victim to marry someone for financial gain.
Jamiel Smith, 34, of Mississauga, faces multiple charges, including 12 counts of human trafficking or pimping, four counts of advertising sexual services, two counts of assault and sexual assault.

According to Toronto police, the robber allegedly took the victim's wallet and several cellphones on Nov. 6 around 5:40 p.m. before fleeing.

Employees of the operational search service were able to identify the suspect. On November 12, a search warrant was executed and the suspect was taken into custody.
During the arrest, officers allegedly found a loaded handgun.
Johan Germain Henry, a 50-year-old Toronto resident, was charged with 10 firearms-related charges and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Hamilton police are investigating a break-in at an Ancaster jewelry store after four suspects forced their way into the store early Monday morning.
Police said the robbers entered the Wilson Street store around 3:40 a.m. by breaking the exterior glass door and forcing open the metal door.

Once inside, the bandits allegedly smashed several display cases and stole several items before fleeing the scene. The full list of stolen goods is still being assessed.
Investigators are looking for the suspects, who were wearing dark clothing and believed to be driving a gray Dodge Caravan.
A MAN IS ACCUSED OF AN ABSOLUTE ACTION
A 20-year-old man has been charged following an alleged lewd act involving a 10-year-old boy in Cabbagetown last week.
Toronto police said officers responded to a call last Tuesday near Sumac and Wellesley Streets – east of Parliament Street – around 3:45 p.m. to reports that a boy was walking in the area when a man approached him on a scooter and committed an indecent act.
The boy and the man do not know each other.
In a news release Monday, police said Tyson Dante Tobias McFarlane was arrested and charged with offenses including five counts of committing an indecent act in a public place and failing to appear in court.
Police allege the accused committed indecent acts against four other victims between May and November. Police said one victim was a child under 13, two were youths under 18 and one was an adult.
Police urged anyone with information to call police at 416-808-5100.
