The sequel to the classic 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada 2 will focus on fashion house editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly.Meryl Streep) as she tries to build her career in a world where print journalism is dying. Miranda soon runs into Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), her former junior assistant who is now a high-ranking executive at a luxury group with the advertising dollars that Priestley desperately needs.
The first film, The Devil Wears Prada, is about recent college graduate Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway), who wants to find a job in journalism. Andie soon takes a job as Priestley's junior assistant at Runway Magazine, where she must choose between her professional life and the loss of her personal relationships as she moves closer to her dream career.
Streep, Hathaway, Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracy Thoms and Tibor Feldman will reprise their roles in The Devil Wears Prada 2. Kenneth Branagh will play Priestley's husband in the sequel, with Simone Ashley in an undisclosed role. Diversity It was exclusively reported that Lucy Liu, BJ Novak, Justin Theroux and Pauline Chalamet will join as additional cast members. Patrick Brammall will play Andy's new love interest, while Rachel Bloom will play an undisclosed role in the film. It was previously confirmed that Adrian Grenier, who played Nate in the first film, will not return for the sequel.
