Moore was fired after Michigan discovered he had an inappropriate relationship with a co-worker and was jailed soon after for allegedly breaking into the co-worker's home and threatening to commit suicide.
Prosecutors accused Moore that he contacted the employee through phone calls and text messages after the breakup, prompting the woman to contact the University of Michigan and cooperate in the investigation. Moore was subsequently fired as head football coach, which prosecutors say prompted him to show up at her home.
Moore then allegedly “broke into” the employee's home, grabbed a butter knife and kitchen scissors and began to threaten his own life. Prosecutors said Moore allegedly told the employee, “My blood is on your hands” and “You ruined my life.”

If convicted, Moore faces more than fifty years behind bars, further damaging any hopes he had of being on the sidelines again. His next court date is set for Jan. 22.
A no plea was entered for Moore during his first court appearance earlier this month.
