There's a new Associated Press poll every Monday afternoon, and Michigan still has two highly ranked teams. The men's team is in 3rd place, while the women's team is still in 6th place.
The men's team moved up four spots from last week, finishing in the program's top 5 for the first time since the second week poll on November 15, 2021. This is the program's highest ranking since it finished second in the Week 15 poll on March 1, 2021.

Purdue and Arizona occupy the top two spots, with Duke (4th) and UCLA (5th) rounding out the top five. Tom Izzo's Michigan State Spartans (No. 7) also aren't far behind after an impressive win over UNC.

The men's team has just one game this week: a home game on Saturday (4 p.m., BTN) against a Rutgers team that is ranked 118th in the KenPom rankings and is projected to finish near the bottom of the conference. On paper it looks like a blast, but it can also be a big disappointment.
The women's team is still ranked sixth, still second in the Big Ten behind UCLA (fourth). This came after a quiet week for the Wolverines, in which Michigan's only game was a blowout 102-53 win over Detroit Mercy. Women's team ranks 5th in the NET rankingThis means that if the NCAA Tournament started today, they would be the No. 2 seed.
The Wolverines will play two home games this week to try to improve their 6-1 record. Michigan will host Central Michigan on Wednesday (7 p.m., B1G+) and host Purdue on Sunday (noon, BTN).
