The Mega Rising expansion introduces three different sets. Pocket TCG Pokemonand among them there are some wonderful cards.
The theme of this expansion is Mega Evolution, which is available for the first time in the game. Again, you'll have to prioritize which pack you want to open first, and this will largely depend on the cards you want to add to your collection.
To make your choice easier, this guide will list the best cards you can find in the game.
The Best Cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rising
Before I dive into the best cards, please note that this is not a ranked list. I've included what I think are some of the best cards available in this expansion.
citrus berries
Sitrus Berry can make a big difference when it comes to knocking out your Pokemon. The card restores 30 HP at the end of each turn if the equipped Pokémon has less than half health left. This can come in handy early in the battle.
really ex
Indeedee ex is one of the best command cards in your deck. Its ability heals 20 HP of your active Pokémon every turn. While Psychic+ deals 30 damage per 2 energy, it deals an additional 30 damage for each energy of your opponent's active Pokemon. Hence, it can hit your opponent's Mega/Ex-Pokémon quite hard and knock them out while they are not at full health.
Former Mega Gyarados
My only complaint with the former Gyarados is the randomness surrounding his attack. Although the Mega Blaster does 140 damage, it takes a long time to set up (due to the cost of four energy). However, this will discard the top three cards of your opponent's deck. If it is not removed early, it may cause your opponent to run out of cards. This card is for those who like to play tempo decks and control the flow of the battle.
Mega Blaziken ex
While the former Blaziken doesn't hit as hard as Gyarados, you can deal 120 damage per attack costing 2. You can discard one Energy and cause a Burn to your opponent's Pokemon. This is a great card to include in your fire themed decks. The only annoyance is the constant energy drain if you want to cause a burn on your enemies.
Mega Altar from
Mega Altaria ex is by far the safest choice, and its Mega Harmony effect is pretty fun. Although the base damage is only 40 HP, it deals +30 damage for each opponent's Pokemon. Naturally, this forces the opponent to keep their bench light (but it will slow down their ability to build their bench correctly). The attack can deal 220 damage at full power, allowing you to hit almost any card in the game in one hit.
