Mega Cat Studios Is Releasing Three Brand-New Games for NES and Super Nintendo

A fresh wave of retro games from Mega Cat Studios

Mega Cat Studios is bringing a new wave of retro excitement to classic Nintendo hardware this month with the release of three all-new games for the NES and Super Nintendo. Known for its creativity and love of old-school games, the indie publisher once again proves that there's still plenty of life left in vintage consoles.

The line, which will launch on January 29th exclusively through the Mega Cat Studios online store, includes Super Fanger for the Super Nintendo, as well as NES games Old Towers and Plyuk. Each game offers a unique experience while staying true to the design spirit of the classic era.

Super Fanger is a fast-paced maze journey based on frantic multiplayer fun. Players race across carefully designed maps, using special abilities and keen reflexes to chase down opponents or stay one step ahead. With a selection of unusual characters, unlockable content, and support for one or two players, the game offers both competitive and casual play.

Pluck takes a more thoughtful approach, combining puzzle platforming with atmospheric storytelling. Once in a secret underground laboratory, Plyuk must escape by mastering the ability to clone himself. The game focuses on cooperation between clones, careful timing and logical problem solving, all wrapped up in a moody 8-bit presentation.

Old Towers adds an exciting puzzle to the collection. Players overcome high levels by running over walls, ceilings and obstacles, collecting coins and looking for exits. With over 40 levels and a variety of playable characters, the game becomes increasingly challenging and requires precise execution.

Together, these releases highlight Mega Cat Studios' ongoing commitment to expanding the NES and SNES libraries with thoughtful, modern retro experiences.
