Mboko eliminated in first round of Wuhan Open after straight-sets loss to Alexandrova – Brandon Sun

Ugan-Canada Victoria MBOO is leaving the Wuhan Open tennis tournament after a loss of 6-3, 6-2 for Russia Ekaterina Alexandrova on Monday.

Aleksandrova, the eighth seed in Jun, broke Mboko four times in eight chances and won 56 percent of the total number of points at the end of the match in one hour 20 minutes.

Mboko, which took 24th place in the world, lost three matches in a row after she won her first WTA title on the National Bank for National Bank Open in Montreal.

Her seasonal record fell to 53-12.
