Max Crosby is assessing your future With Las Vegas Raiders — the only one NFL team ever played for – after his 2025 season came to an unfortunate end, according to NFL Media. Raiders close Crosby for the season before the Week 17 game against the team New York Giants due to a knee injury.
This was a decision that Crosby strongly opposed. Pete Carroll said he released Crosby from the hall. The Raiders and Giants are 2-13, and the loser of the Week 17 contest will take first place in the standings. NFL Draft order.
“Honestly, I don’t care about the choice.” Crosby told reporters. Tuesday. “That's not why I play. This is not my job. My job is to be the best defender in the world and that's what I focus on every day, being a great leader and making an impact – being that guy on a consistent basis for my team. This [the NFL Draft] their job, the front office, the coaches, they do it. But this has nothing to do with me.”
The team also closed Brock Bowers earlier this week.
Crosby, 28, remained loyal to the Raiders, signing three year extension, US$106.5 million last offseason, although they have made the playoffs just once since being selected in the fourth round of the 2019 draft. The five-time Pro Bowler rarely leaves the field and has not missed a game during his first five seasons in the league. He has been dealing with this latest injury since week 7. He excels in both the run and pass game. Over the past five seasons, he is eighth in sacks, third in pressures and second in tackles for loss. His 352 tackles are the most of any defensive lineman.
Just before the Crosby trade deadline reportedly wanted to stay in Las Vegasand Las Vegas wanted to keep it. However, if any of these feelings change as a result of recent events, there could be a plethora of potential suitors.
Dallas asked about and Crosby and Trey Hendrickson before the trade deadline and was rejected on both accounts before eventually receiving Quinnen Williams. But Dallas still has additional future project capital thanks to Micah Parsons deal with. Given the team's winning offense and weak defense, Crosby could make sense; he's a more complete player than Hendrickson, and he's almost three years younger, too. Jerry Jones has never shied away from headlines, and a move like this is sure to generate some.
This season especially showed how badly Baltimore needs an infusion of talent at edge rusher; his 4.6% sack rate would be the second-worst in franchise history. The Ravens rarely swing this much, but it may be time to do so. Crosby fits into the win window now, he'll provide a much-needed presence on the offensive line, and he's one of the hardest workers in the league, which would fit well under John Harbaugh. Baltimore has a ton of draft capital, and their position on recruiting and developing edge rushers as of late just isn't cutting it.
The Chargers are making the playoffs for the second time in two years under Jim Harbaugh, an impressive feat considering the injuries they've suffered and the cap issues they've overcome. The money will finally start coming in this offseason, and Crosby would be a great fit here. The Chargers still have it. Khalil Mak effective game and acquisition of trading Odafe Owe was a pleasant surprise. But Crosby is on another level and will provide not only a tremendous pass rush, but some much-needed strength against the run.
The Bengals fall into the same category as the Cowboys. They have an elite, explosive offense and a defense that could use as much help as possible. Whether the Bengals' historically conservative ownership group would approve such a deal or not is another matter, but the need and fit are certainly there.
