A Terrebonne massage therapist accused of sexually assaulting a client last summer now faces three new charges as other women have in turn denounced him, including one who was just 12 years old at the time of the alleged acts.
“Following media coverage of this case, victims came forward,” Crown prosecutor Jessica Bergeron briefly explained to the magazine.
Ken Jacques appeared at the Laval courthouse Wednesday afternoon.
He carefully read the new charges against him live from the Terrebonne police station, where he was taken after his new arrest.
Dressed in a white sweatshirt, he attended the meeting via video conference.

The 49-year-old massage therapist was first accused in July last year of sexually assaulting a woman while on duty.
Convinced that this was not his only victim, authorities publicized the case to find other potential victims.
Since then, at least three more women have contacted police, including one who was just 12 years old at the time of the incident.
These complaints then led to further allegations of sexual assault against each of them.
He is also charged with sexually touching the youngest of his victims.
Detained
According to the indictments seen by Le Journal, Jacques acted between 2002 and 2023. The crimes may have been committed in Terrebonne, Repentigny and Sainte-Sophie.
In addition, the Crown opposed the massage therapist's release. He will therefore remain in custody at least until his bail hearing.
His case is due back in court this Friday to set a date.
