Former NFL defender Mark Sanchez is in a stable state in the hospital after he was stabbed in Indianapolis and was arrested for his role in the incident.
The 38-year-old American, who was a fifth common choice in the NFL draft in 2009 for New York, was in Indianapolis to comment on the Sunday game between the collists and Las Vegas raiders for Fox Sports.
In a statement on Saturday, the Department of Police of Indianapolis said that he was investigating a “physical violation” with the participation of two adult men, ”as a result of which one person received ragged wounds and the other wounds corresponding to knife wounds.”
In the second statement, the police said that Sanchez remained in the hospital, but was arrested for a “battery with an injury, illegal entry of a car and public intoxication”.
Fox Sports said: “Mark Sanchez was wounded in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently restored in the hospital in a stable state.

For five seasons with aircraft where he wore number six, Sanchez led them to two performances in the AFK championship.
