Man shot, robbed at online sale meetup on Maryland Street – Winnipeg Free Press

A man in his 30s remained in hospital Tuesday after he was robbed and shot at a meeting to sell an item he had posted online.

Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Maryland Street around 2 p.m. Saturday.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition with life-changing injuries. His condition has since improved to stable, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release.

The robber was described as a tall black man with braided hair and wearing all black clothing.

A man's expensive electronics were stolen.

Police released two images of the man, described as a tall black man with braided hair, wearing all black clothing. They show a man wearing a black sweatshirt with a logo on the chest, black shoes and white socks.
