Court records show that a U.S. task force officer assigned as a Postal Service inspector investigator contacted the Preble County Sheriff's Office in July 2025 regarding suspicious packages that had been delivered to Fox's mailbox.

Authorities intercepted several boxes and found a large quantity of powdered anabolic steroids and cash inside.

According to court records, a search warrant was prepared at Fox's home while he was picking up a package delivered to the mailbox on Oct. 6.

As previously reported News Center 7That same day, investigators with the Preble County Sheriff's Office searched a home in the 8500 block of Highway 503.

During the search, investigators seized a large amount of physical evidence, including powders, pills, liquids, business equipment, marijuana, two pill machines, U.S. currency and several vehicles.

Court records indicate that some of these items were found in a “secret room” with a door disguised as a bookshelf in the basement.

Susan Fox, Ronald's wife, was also charged in this investigation.

She was scheduled to appear in court Dec. 18 for a modified plea hearing; however, the results of that hearing were not immediately available.
