For starters, this update, called Free Ride, is due out tomorrow, November 20th, so you won't have to wait long for it. It's similar to the Free Ride mode you may have encountered before. Various sets of non-story objectives are included, which range from combat, stealth and racing missions, taking place in some new areas as well as locations from the base game. Completing these tasks gives you the in-game currency dinar to purchase items such as clothing, weapons, or vehicles. Now you can also drive in first person! There's not much to say about this.
As with every game under the sun, a photo mode has now been added. For those of you who are up for a more challenging challenge, Classic difficulty will also be available.
Perhaps my least favorite addition at a quick glance is the new “Cinema Siciliano” game mode. Think something like Akira Kurosawa's mode in Ghost of Tsushima – the Cinema Siciliano mode also makes things black and white, adds film grain, and puts a filter on the audio to make it sound a little old-fashioned and cheesy. I get that you're inspired by movies, but when you put filters on top of things and call it a day, it feels weirdly fake and cheap! First and foremost, you'll need ambient lighting to really convey the appropriate feel, but I digress.
