TORONTO — Nathan Lux was ruled out of the Toronto Blue Jays' 3-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Sunday in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series with a bruised right knee.
Lux fell in pain after his bat hit a ball against his upper right knee in the first inning. He was replaced in right field by Miles Straw in the fourth inning.

Lux fell to the turf after fouling Bryce Miller's serve and hitting him in the right knee.
He was examined by the Blue Jays trainer and continued to play, leading Miller by 12 pitches.
The 31-year-old is hitting .308 this postseason with five runs.
