Nintendo is set to expand its Switch Online Plus Expansion Pack service next week by adding another GameCube-era fan favorite. On October 30, players will be able to experience the original. Luigi's Mansiona game first released with the GameCube in November 2001. In this classic adventure, Luigi, Mario's timid brother, explores the mysterious mansion he unexpectedly inherits. Under the guidance of Professor E. Gadd and armed with the Poltergust 3000 ghost catcher, Luigi navigates the mansion's many rooms, fighting and capturing the mischievous spirits that haunt them.

This expansion marks the sixth GameCube game available through Switch Online. The collection debuted alongside Switch 2 with three games: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Rider, F-Zero GXand SoulCalibur II. Nintendo later expanded the line with Super Mario Strikers in July and Chibi-Robo in August. The company has confirmed that more GameCube classics are on the way, including Super Mario Sunshine, Pokémon Colosseum and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, although release dates for those games have yet to be announced.

The GameCube Collection is among several perks exclusive to Switch 2 users who subscribe to the Expansion Pack. These subscribers can also download Switch 2 upgrade packs for both versions. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild And Tears of the Kingdom at no additional cost.

Nintendo offers the basic Switch Online service for $20 per year, and an expansion pack subscription costs $50 per year. There's also an $80 family plan that covers up to eight Nintendo accounts across multiple systems. By constantly adding classic games, Nintendo is giving both longtime fans and new players plenty of reasons to return to these nostalgic adventures on modern hardware.
