Next week, Nintendo will be bringing another GameCube favorite to its Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Original Luigi's Mansion joins the classic lineup on October 30th.
Originally released with the GameCube in November 2001, Luigi's Mansion follows Mario's cowardly brother as he explores a haunted mansion he won in a competition he never entered. With the help of Professor E. Gadd and his Poltergust 3000 vacuum cleaner, Luigi must make his way through the mansion's many rooms and capture all the ghosts lurking within.
Luigi's Mansion is the sixth game to be added to the GameCube collection on Switch Online. The library launched with the Switch 2 with three games – The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, F-Zero GX and SoulCalibur II – and Super Mario Strikers and Chibi-Robo were added to the lineup in July and August, respectively.
Nintendo will offer more GameCube games on the service in the future. The company has already confirmed that additional classic games like Super Mario Sunshine, Pokemon Colosseum, and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance will be coming, although it has yet to announce when those games will be added.
The GameCube Collection is one of the few Switch 2 exclusives available to Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. Members can also download Switch 2 upgrade packs for both versions. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild And The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for free.
An individual subscription to the basic Nintendo Switch Online service costs $20 per year, while the Expansion Pack plan costs $50 per year. Nintendo also offers an annual family plan for $80, which covers up to eight Nintendo accounts across multiple systems.
