Ludiger Opens Steam Store Page, Invites Players to Join Playtest

Join the battles in Ludiger

Liz-Arts, the indie gaming circle known for its creative approach to strategy, has officially launched a Steam store page for its upcoming digital board game Ludiger, as well as running a public playtest open to all players. Anyone can freely join the test directly through Steam and experience this unique combination of classic and modern tactical gameplay.

Described as a “Chess-style strategy board game × SRPG”, Ludiger challenges players to control a set of pieces on a grid-based battlefield in a competition of positioning and strategy. Each piece has its own health points and special abilities, forcing players to think several steps ahead as they strive to destroy the enemy base.

The latest version builds on the earlier 2023 Windows exclusive and now provides broader support for both Windows and Mac platforms. It also adds new online elements, including Steam achievements and an Elo-based ranking system that tracks player performance.

In addition to the competitive online battle mode, Ludiger offers several ways to play. Those who prefer solo challenges can test their strategies against AI opponents in CPU Battle mode, while friends can enjoy one-on-one battles in One Board Battle mode on a shared screen.

With a combination of chess mechanics and SRPG-style depth, Ludiger offers a tactical experience that rewards thoughtful play and creative strategies. For fans of strategy games looking for a new yet familiar challenge, the Steam Playtest provides the perfect opportunity to explore what Liz-Arts has created.
